Working With Synthetic Hair
This module focuses on the professional use of synthetic hair in braiding and the technical decisions that affect comfort, durability, and the final look. It covers how to prepare synthetic material, mix colors, create smooth ombré transitions, increase volume, and choose hairstyles based on the client’s hair structure.
The module teaches key added-hair techniques, including gradual feed-in, alternative feed-in methods, starting braids with synthetic hair, full coverage of natural hair, secure end finishing, and finger-gun braiding practice. It also applies these skills through complete hairstyles such as festival braids, lace braids with released strands, front hairline feed-ins, side braid styles, waterfall hairstyles, high ponytails, long braids with extensions, removable ponytails, and braid accessories.
By the end of the module, you will understand how to work with synthetic hair in a controlled, clean, and practical way. The focus is on creating lightweight styles, smooth transitions, secure attachment, balanced volume, and longer wear while protecting the natural hair. The module also includes care, wear-time guidance, and safe removal for braided styles with added synthetic hair.
